Jesus said the devil is a smooth talking serpent who preaches smooth things. Sometimes he’s more like a firebreathing warmonger dragon beating the war drum.
The real man of God is like a wrathful Lamb. The kings of the earth will hide their faces from Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb.
I get people that say why do you swear so much? Why are you so angry? Why don’t you just talk about the positive things? Why be so negative?
While one thing nobody is paying me so I’m motivated mostly by anger. And I don’t want to make Jesus out to be a liar by making the man of God appear like a smooth talking serpent. This is so people know the difference between the man of God and the man of the lie. If you read your Bible the Scripture in red, you would know the devil is a smooth talking serpent.
I watched a video the other day of a Christian woman preaching smooth talking sermon. Yes she was getting a lot of followers by talking smooth things. People are easily frightened and it is easy to frighten and scatter the sheep. One guy put it this way, he is trying to get the squirrel to come to him by holding out a nut and smooth talking the squirrel to come over to him. No sudden moves, no loud voices, no cussing, no anger to frighten the squirrel.
The Christian religion found the perfect way to real people in. Only talking about happy things and good times. The president gives his speech like a smooth talking serpent. “We need to preserve our way of life, so I sent troops to Iraq, and after we dropped a few bombs and there was a little collateral damage, we can see how evil those Muslim terrorist are when they curse at us, use foul language, and seemed to be very angry”. Are these men of God who use foul language and get angry so easily? I think not.” And everybody listens to the smooth talking serpent because it seems right that those Muslims that curse and get angry not able to forgive for little collateral damage must be evil.
Jesus was shown us how we are deceived by this smooth talking serpent. It seems so right that someone who doesn’t get angry and doesn’t swear must be a man of God and someone who gets angry and swears must be evil. It may seem right but it’s not what Jesus said. Jesus said the smooth talking serpent who preaches smooth things is of the devil.
While then that must mean the man who swears, gets angry at evil people, must be the true man of God. The wrathful Lamb is the way God coins his chosen one.
I’m not going to stop swearing, I’m not going to talk smoothly, because I’m not going to make Jesus into a liar and I’m not going to be a deceiving devil like all the other church preachers who don’t swear and don’t get angry and only preach positive things.
According to Wikipedia on the Dead Sea Scrolls there is a prophecy about the end of the world and the seekers of smooth things. The seekers of smooth things will be unmasked, people will wake up, their misleading believers in God will be over. Those who oppose God and preach smooth things will be hung on a tree till death. These are the Pharisees that preach smooth things. They are not seekers of truth, they seek after the preacher who will lie to them, to make them feel good. Tell us only the positive things. Tell us the things we want to hear. We don’t want to hear what the Messiah has to say, he’s angry, he swears, he’s full of wrath.
New Living Translation
They tell the seers, "Stop seeing visions!" They tell the prophets, "Don't tell us what is right. Tell us nice things. Tell us lies. Tell us pleasant things, prophesy illusions. Do not prophesy right things unto us, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits:
A Warning to a Rebellious People
For this is a rebellious people, false sons, Sons who refuse to listen To the instruction of the LORD; 10Who say to the seers, "You must not see visions"; And to the prophets, "You must not prophesy to us what is right, Speak to us pleasant words, Prophesy illusions. 11"Get out of the way, turn aside from the path, Let us hear no more about the Holy One of Israel, the man that sees God.
